Since my last post, much has happened. Unfortunately I got the dreaded Lyme Disease in September and had to deal with the complications it presented over the course of the fall. We also relocated to Colorado in December so my life was crazy! I continued to make work when I could and am glad to report I have a large easle set up in the living room of our new apartment.
With this post is a sketch I did this fall from a New York Times photograph that intrigued me. The article it accompanied was about a doctor caring for ebola patients and the amount of time it took to get dressed in protective clothing. The image showed rubber boots drying on sticks, arranged in organized rows. Aprons were in the background drying on lines. I referred to the sketch when I incorporated the imagery in one of my recent large-scale drawings.
